The 6TH BORO X U1 SPORTS IMPACT

Our philosophy is simple, teach the players how to read and play the game without set-plays. This methodology is practiced from the very first day they step on the court in a 6th Boro Hoops uniform. The goal is to help our players become thinkers on the court, thinkers that will be able to figure out any situation in the game. Much of our curriculum is based off the teachings of European basketball academies.

Beyond our tactical ideas, all 6th Boro Hoop’s coaches are dedicated to creating a positive environment for players of all ages. We believe that only in a supportive and positive environment can a player reach the height of their potential.

  • Our local teams practice 2-3 times a week throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring months at an UWS or UES location.

  • The goal for all our local teams is to see progress over the course of the season. We aim to give each player the best basketball education in a positive environment so that they can grow both on and off the court.

  • The length of each season lasts about 2.5 months.

  • Teams begin in 3rd grade and end with 11th grade.
