At U1, our philosophy is rooted in teaching the game the right way. We focus on developing strong fundamentals while helping players learn how to read and react to the game in real time. From the first day they step on the court, players are taught to think, make decisions, and understand how to play, not just run set plays. Our goal is to develop confident, skilled players who can adapt to any situation on the floor.
Each session is designed to challenge players while keeping the environment positive, supportive, and team-oriented. Our coaches emphasize accountability, focus, and consistent effort, ensuring that every player, regardless of experience, has the opportunity to grow and reach their potential.

U1 is an inclusive program that welcomes players of all levels who are ready to learn, work hard, and improve.
Our local teams practice 2-3 times a week throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring months at an UWS and UES locations.
Each season lasts approximately 2.5-3 months, giving players consistent opportunities to learn, compete, and build confidence.
U1 teams begin in 3rd grade and continue through 11th grade, offering a clear developmental pathway that mirrors a true academy experience. Our mission is to give every player a complete basketball education--built on fundamentals, understanding, and love for the game.
